MCLS is a seminar with a rigorous focus on the private enforcement of competition law, both on specific substantive issues and on the procedural mechanics of civil antitrust lawsuits.
MCLS guarantees the participation and active dialogue of 20-30 specialist judges from across Europe, including magistrates from the Spanish Supreme Court and judges from the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
It also ensures a balanced representation of the other main players in the sector at international level: lawyers, experts, competition authorities, academics and litigation funds.
The two-day seminar is designed to encourage active participation from all attendees, with ample opportunities for open debate, including break-out sessions that promote in-depth dialogue.
The event is conducted under Chatham House rules and governed by a Code of Conduct.
Attendance is by invitation only.
MCLS is a non-profit organisation. Its aim is to contribute to law, justice and the common good.
It is a forum for open, respectful and constructive debate that seeks to contribute to the improvement of practice in the field of private enforcement.

One of the most innovative proposals—and one that sets us apart as a unique seminar—is the organisation of specific working groups.
This dynamic allows for a deeper exploration of the different aspects of the debate, encouraging exchange between participants with common interests and enriching collective reflection from multiple perspectives.
